We’re going to Madrid! Well, not yet, but in the fall. While planning trips I like to look at all the designer hotels in the area. I came across Hotel Urban while planning this fall’s Madrid vacation. I was impressed with its Art Deco style and fell in love with how it was designed and styled. The hotel is located in Madrid’s museum triangle where the Museo del Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Queen Sofia Foundation are. Also close by are the Plaza del Sol, the Plaza de la Villa and El Retiro park.
Hotel Urban has earned its right to be located near Madrid’s famous museums, as its a home to a private collection of ancient Asian art and an Egyptian Museum. In addition to the unique art collection another thing to take note of is the hotel’s Glass Bar, restaurant Europa Decó and rooftop pool. Europe Decó’s chef is Joaquín de Felipe and the restaurant has won many national and international prizes. Its already on the top of my list of places to visit while in Madrid!

Wow! This hotel is stunning! Spain is on the top of my list of places to visit.
I’m sure this hotel is great from a design perspective, but it’s too dull and grey for me. It makes me feel kinda sad actually!
Yes its not as bright as the Pantone Hotel but I think the main areas are really pretty. I wasn’t able to post all the pictures of the rooms but if you get a chance go through them. Some of the rooms are stunning, even though they aren’t very bright.
