‘Clear’ Furniture Picks

Recently I became obsessed with translucent acrylic and lucite furniture. Last week I found myself going back to the same sources again and again, checking out these lovely pieces. I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you.

This lamp is one of Kartell’s top selling items. The Bourgie table lamp has a baroque base made of three connecting clear pieces and a lamp shade that can be used at three different heights.

This is the classic Hanging Bubble Chair by Eero Aarnio, designed in 1968. I feel this is a hard chair to use in most spaces. I see it more in fun spaces, kids rooms or family/playrooms. Its shown with silver cushions but you can make it your own by making your own cushions with the fabric of your choice. You can find out where to buy it here.

I’m sure you’ve seen the Louis Ghost Chair by Philippe Stark many times before. I actually forgot about it until my recent lucite obsession came about. It can be purchased at Kartell and at Design Within Reach.

Also available at Kartell is this La Boheme Stool. Also by Philippe Stark, there are a few different stool shapes available in a wide variety of colors, not just clear!

Alexandra Von Furstenberg has a great line of furniture and accessories, mostly in acrylic. My favorite AVF table is the XOXO Acrylic Occasional Table, 30″ in diameter x 25″ high.

Last but not least, and of the most affordable of them all are the Peekaboo Nesting Tables by CB2. The set of three tables are made from molded clear acrylic and sell for $199.
