Design Spotlights

Its Thursday, almost the weekend for me. It may already be the weekend for many of you. Let’s kick it off right with these Design Spotlights. Here we go!

Brighten up your meals with these Pantone Placemats. Yes, I said it, Pantone Placemats! They are available at Avril Loreti’s Etsy Shop and can be purchased in sets of 2, 4, 6 and 8. A set of 2 is $36. The names are written in both English and French.  If you still haven’t overloaded on Pantone, you can purchase the table runners too!

Wondering what to eat on your lovely placemats? Why not pack a tiffin? I’ve always been apprehensive about tiffins until I saw these at MocoLoco who spotted them at the Interior Design Show in Toronto. The Tiffin Lunch Kit is made by Lorea Sinclaire, who says, “this work in progress is an experiment in mobile eating.” The tiffins are made of ceramic and cork. Stay tuned on where to pick them up!

I spotted this wooden tripod lamp at Design Sponge last week. This 1940′s American Vintage lamp is available at Steven Sclaroff, here in New York. It’s in good condition and is a bit of a splurge at $2,250. I can’t get enough of it!

I will leave you with one last highlight today. If you are constantly planning to “organize” over the weekend, as I am, this might be something to consider. Available at CB2 are Chalkboard Office Accessories. I absolutely love this idea! Not only are these boxes, magazine holders and pencil holders sturdy, you can write on them too! When you re-organize you can wipe off your notes and start fresh.
