Design Spotlights

How’s everyone’s week been? The past few weeks have been a little busy here, and I’m sorry that you didn’t get your Design Spotlights last week. I’ve got some great stuff for you today, to make up for last week.

I know chevron may not be “in” anymore but I like this chevron print available on Etsy from Ex Libris Paper Design alot. The variety of wood patterns and wood colors that show through the print really bring it to life. The 8″ x 10″ print is $12, unframed.

I may have told you this before, but I love soft boiled eggs! It’s a perfect food for a brunch party, and doesn’t create a huge mess. These Cara Wood Egg Cups from Muhs Home are not only great looking, but very convenient. The cups were handcrafted at the Takahashi Kougei wood workshop in Hokkaido, designed by Rina Ono. Each is $20. Are you a soft boiled egg person?

If you need storage that doesn’t look like storage, you may be interested in the Iilatta Jars by Greener Grass Design. The neon leaded glass jars are designed by Finnish design team Pentagon Design. They have an airtight lid with rubber seal, to keep things inside as fresh as possible. A set of 5 jars, which contain 5 different colors, is $110.

The Foldable Table and Bench might be just what you need this summer. It’s perfect for those small outdoor fire escapes and balconies here in New York, and folds right up to save space. It can be taken with you, on a picnic or to the beach! Via SwissMiss

Which is your favorite?
