The Hubster and I were thinking of getting out of the city today, but I’m not so sure it’s going to happen. I’ve put together a back up plan, a list of locations to watch the fireworks. If you are in New York City and aren’t sure where to go, I’m sure you will find something on this list you like.
The fireworks will be held tonight, from 9-10pm, along the Hudson River, between 18th street and 43rd street. You can plan your evening with this fireworks map. You can also download Macys’ Fireworks App, which has up-to-the-minute transit and viewing information.
These are a few places we are considering for this evening’s fireworks excurstion:
- Pier 66 Maritime, 26th Street at Hudson River Park.
- Rooftop at Jimmy Soho, 15 Thompson Street, at the James Hotel.
- Rooftop at The Empire Hotel, 44 West 63rd Street.
- Rooftop at The Gansevoort, 18 9th Avenue.
- Rooftop at Hudson Terrace, 621 West 46th Street.
- Rooftop at Ink 48, 643 11th Avenue
- If you want to stand at the water to watch the event, you can gain access along 11th Avenue at these streets - 24th, 26th, 27th, 29th, 33rd-34th, 40th, 42nd, 44th, 50th, 52nd, 54th, and 56th- 57th Streets.
