Chobani Soho: A Non-Frozen Yogurt Bar

Are you a Greek yogurt fan? Who isn’t these days?  It’s become so popular that a few months ago New York Magazine compared the most popular brands and broke down the differences.  On July 25th, Chobani, one of the most popular brands, opened their flagship store, in Soho.  It’s not just prepackaged containers of yogurt, although that is available in both 6 and 32 ounce options.  It’s a non-frozen yogurt bar, with yogurt based creations made with fresh, seasonal items.  Oh yea, the yogurt is made fresh daily, too!

On the rotating menu are mixtures such as pistachio + chocolate and fig + walnut.  Ingredients are added to plain and flavored Chobani yogurt, and for your convenience, the ingredients are also available for sale individually, at the “harvest table”.  You can purchase the ingredients you want, and make your on concoction at home. The yogurts are sold in glass containers with cheese cloth coverings, a small for $3.75 and a large for $4.75.  If you return with your glass container, you will get $.25 off of your next purchase.

If you do end up at Chobani Soho, you will be doing your part to help the world. They have created their own line of bottled water – Water for Water.  For each bottle sold, 100% of the net profits will be donated to Shepherd’s Gift Foundation.

Chobani SoHo is located at 150 Prince Street at the corner of West Broadway and is open everyday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m
