Savvy Studio is a firm based in Monterrey, Mexico, that specializes in interior design, branding, stationery and packaging. Recently they worked with a pastry boutique, Cioccolato, that specializes in custom desserts for events. It’s hard enough to resist delicious pastries when they are right in front of you, but when the entire store literally looks like a candy store, will power stands no chance.
The creative team decided to differentiate Cioccolato from other emerging bakeries by using innovating branding techniques and adding a tag line that is clear and to the point, Bake & Decor. They “developed a sweet and festive visual identity that uses brightly colored elements and memorable phrases”.
Savvy Studio decided to go with a classic white base and add layers of color pops to create their sugary sweet look. In the center of the shop there is a white lacquer table with one leg dripping with a hot pink goop, that immediately takes your mind to a sweet place. This look is followed through with picture frames that have edges that drip down the walls. On the display counter is a large “melted” piece of chocolate drizzling down the side.
There is no denying that the interior design of this pastry boutique is effective, and leaves the desired effect. When you walk into this shop, you want to eat dessert!
So right: will power does not stand a chance!!!
