“Water Light Graffiti” is every artist’s (and kid’s) dream come true. French artist Antonin Fourneau has created an installation in which one can spray water on a wall and tiny points of light will illuminate, to create a unique art piece for a moment. Water, mixed with lights? Completely safe!
Fourneau worked with Digital Art Lab to create and install “Water Light Graffiti” which was open to the public in Poitiers, France, from July 22 to 24. Visitors were encourage to use their imagination, and were provided with tools such as spray cans, sponges and paint brushes. They were also encouraged to use their hands and fingers, to write messages or draw anything they could thing of.
Thousands of LED lights were rigged to light up upon contact with moisture. The lights were bright for just a few minutes, and dimmed again so the visitor could start all over again.
