Spread a Little Holiday Cheer for Sandy Victims
Although Hurricane Sandy has passed, her effects are here to stay, for a while that is. Many in the tri-state area are without homes, and many that are lucky enough to have shelter are living without power, heat or water. Although we bloggers tend to write about the pretty in life and things that make us happy, we realize that we have a forum to do a little good this holiday season. Many of us are teaming up to help the victims of Sandy.
Jessy of Serendipitous Things and I have created a Crowd Rise event, with a goal of $5,000. All donations go to the Red Cross, and funds are given directly to those Sandy victims that need them most. Donate here. No amount is too small, every little bit helps! We’ve asked some of our fabulous blogger friends to help out, and blog about this as well. So please blog, tweet, facebook, pin, share!
*If you aren’t familiar with devastation Sandy has caused, please check out New York Magazine’s coverage in their issue, The City and the Storm.
**Special thanks to Jessy, not only for coming up with this thoughtful idea, but also for creating the graphic above and the donate button located on my sidebar. (Thanks Jessy!) After you’ve donated, feel free to grab the button for yourself and post it on your blog using the code below.
