Celebrate the holidays in Oakland with Design Conundrum

Where do you live?
I live in Oakland, CA

What is your blog about?
It’s about a lot of things, but basically the things I’m interested in or love, like design, art, food, photography and style.

What do you love about your city?
I love the diversity, the energy and the amazing food and art scenes that are flourishing right now.

What is your favorite holiday site in your town?

I love seeing all the Christmas trees and buildings lit up all over the city in San Francisco. It’s so touristy but I especially love seeing the big tree and skating rink at Union Square.

What is your must have holiday food in your town and where is it from?

Well I haven’t had them for the holidays yet but one of my favorite spots is Doughnut Dolly in Temescal Alley. I think doughnuts should be a holiday tradition :)

What is your must have holiday beverage in your town and where is it from?

The hot chocolates at Bittersweet Cafe in Rockridge. They have so many yummy combinations.

What is your favorite spot for a night out during the holidays?

The perfect holiday night out for my husband and I would be dinner at Haven in Jack London Square and then walking along the bay to the theatre a couple blocks down to watch a holiday movie.

What is your city’s unique holiday tradition?

It’s not unique, but I just love the holiday parade.

What is your goal for the New Year?

To take time for myself and try to be more organized.
