I have a confession to make… 2 out of the last 4 times I’ve driven a car I’ve left the lights on. (I can’t believe I just told you that!) It’s true, though. I like driving. I enjoy the open road, singing really loud to my favorite tunes. I love having the sunroof open and the windows down. I love the fresh air! I just can’t seem to focus at the end of my journey!
I have a great time driving but by the end of the trip, I’m ready to jump out of the car and get to my destination. I’m so excited that nothing else matters! And then I leave the lights on. It’s a horrible habit, it gets me into a lot of trouble, and I hope I can break it in 2013. What starts as a 2-3 hour journey turns into a 6 hour ordeal! Each time I’ve had to call the Zipcar customer service, have someone come down and find me (in Jersey), and break into the car. Because obviously, the car is dead, so it won’t unlock using the remote provided. What a disaster! Once they break into the car, they are able to open up the hood and jump start the car. It’s such a process!
One day I’ll be Zipcar free and I’ll have my own car, and I’ll need someone to rely on. At that time I’ll enlist the help of aviva.ie, to ensure safe and secure driving. Hopefully by then I’ll be a little more responsible, and a little more aware of the lights. (Not all cars have automatic lights, I’ve learned this the hard way!) Well, I guess I’ve found one more resolution for 2013 – stop leaving the lights on!

Well between me not knowing how to drive and you leaving the lights on… road trip in 2013?? No but in all seriousness, we have to once I learn the ropes. I’ll remind you to turn off the lights.
