And we’re back… from BlogTour Cologne!

What a week! We’re back from BlogTour Cologne and I have so much to share! It was a fabulous experience and I can’t thank Modenus enough for allowing me to be part of this trip. We were in Cologne for four days, attending IMM and Living Kitchen, and in Amsterdam for a day touring some gorgeous design shops thanks to Eigen Huis Interieur and Meet the Blogger Amsterdam.

It’s going to take me some time to sort though all the material I brought home, and the many many pictures I took. So you’re going to be hearing about BlogTour for quite a while! We saw so many innovative things at IMM and Living Kitchen, I was very much impressed. I tried not to take all the materials given to me, instead taking mostly discs and usb sticks. It didn’t work out so well, my bag was 8 kilograms heavier than when I left New York!

It’s true that European trends take their time to make their way over to the United States / North America, but I hope it doesn’t take too long! Yesterday I told you about a new, environmentally friendly faucet by one of our sponsors, Axor. I’m not sure when they will release the product in North America but I have to get my hands on one in a gold finish! In the upcoming days and weeks I’ll share with you what I saw as up and coming trends and the groundbreaking yet simple ideas that will make our every day lives easier. Of course design is about beauty, but it’s about functional beauty and making simple tasks less difficult. The things I saw at IMM will do just that! I can’t wait to start sharing!
