My custom picks… at Luvocracy

Are you using Luvocracy? I was invited a few months ago by Jonathan Lo of Happy Mundane, but haven’t had a chance to check it out until now. Luvocracy is a social shopping site curated by you and your friends! When I like things I add them to my Luvocracy collections, and you can shop from those collections in one stop. You won’t get redirected to another site, you can safely purchase the item without a hassle.

There are so many new sites and apps popping up every day, it’s hard to keep up with it all. I admit, once I joined I really didn’t do anything with it. It was the holidays and I was overwhelmed! This weekend I took the time to read more about Luvocracy, and created a few collections of my own. This started because I was thinking of creating a Valentine’s Day post, sharing my top picks. On Luvocracy that was easy to do, and I can keep adding more in the future.

You can shop in different ways, you can create a list of “trusts”, friends or other’s whose tastes you like, or you can shop by category. You can also recommend anything that’s available for purchase online to your followers. There’s a little bonus for those recommending the products. You also have the option to re-recommend something you like, something you’ve seen in someone else’s collection. At the end of the period you accumulate points, and you get to shop more! (See the FAQ for more.) I don’t see this as a money maker, but I am interested to see how my recommendations influence others, and which of my recommendations my followers would like to buy.

I have more exploring to do, but I’ve started a few collections for you to check out! Head over to my Luvocracy page to see my recommendations. If you’d like an invitation to the site, leave your email address below and I’ll send one over! I’d love to know what you think of Luvocracy and of the collections I’ve curated.
