Happy Monday! I think I’ve found the perfect Design Crush to help kick off your week. When I was in Sao Paulo last year I was blown away by some of the design shops, hotels and restaurants. I had a great time visiting the famous Ibirapuera Park, but had no idea that right next door was a stunning hostel, We Design Hostel. We Design Hotel is located in Vila Mariana, close to Rua Joaquim Tavora, which is filled with restaurants and bars.
I’ve never had the chance to stay in a hostel, but if it ever happens this is the one I choose! The 18th century mansion was designed by architect Filipe Hess. It’s made up of 9 bedrooms which were specifically designed to help the guests feel comfortable and safe.
Each bed comes with a lockable wardrobe, a reading light and it’s own outlet. The outlet is key for me!
I love that the house is designed with a mix of mid-century modern furniture and vintage pieces. It looks spacious and colorful and comfortable.
I find the common room interesting, because of the chalkboard ceiling. It’s a great look, but how do you get up there to tag the ceiling yourself?
Will you be visiting on your next trip to Sao Paulo?
