Cafe Boca Ciega in Tribeca, NYC

Last weekend I found the most adorable cafe. Well, saying I found it would be giving me a lot of credit. It’s like, right next to my apartment, so… Anyway, Cafe Boca Ciega is the newest cafe in the neighborhood. The Cuban cafe used to be called Gem, associated with a fabric store that’s no longer in place. Cafe Boca Ciega is amazing! Not only do they have great coffee (cortaditos!) but they also have delicious and unhealthy desserts. Ajay and I went a little nuts. We started by getting a sugar cookie, and then we were told about the guava cookie, and then we learned about rice pudding and the best flan I’ve ever had. In our defense, we didn’t eat everything at the same time! If you’re in Tribeca, you should stop by. No seating but it’s the best on-the-go place I’ve seen yet.
