Last month I spent about a week in Paris and I definitely fell in love with the magical city. I had been to Paris once before, but only for a few days, and it was when I was much younger. I was excited to visit again and really get to know the town. Ajay and I chose to stay at an AirBnB in the 3rd Arrondissement so we could have a full Parisian experience. It was a small place but it was absolutely perfect. We loved the neighborhood and the beautiful view from our home!
Restaurants, cafes + bars
Le Parisien – We dined at Le Parisien on our first night in Paris. We hadn’t made a dinner plan and were excited to walk the beautiful streets. The restaurant caught our eye because of the crazy geometric design and the adorable crowd inside. It did not dissapoint – the food was delicious and everyone at the restaurant was having a fabulous time!
Loup – Loup had been on my list prior to arriving in Paris, but we actually stumbled upon it while walking around one day. It’s decorated beautifully with large globe pendant lamps that draw you in during the day and shine at night. The atmosphere is welcoming and chic at the same time. Of course, the food was delic!
Paris New York – Ajay and I met Igor of Happy Interiors Blog for drinks one evening, and one thing led to another and we all ended up at dinner at Paris New York. Now, I’m a huge burger fan, and I’m very picky about my burgers. these were fantastic! And the ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful. We had a fantastic evening here!
Cafe Charlot – This cafe was a short walk from our studio apartment and we spend one wonderful morning here sipping coffee and people watching. The Enfants Rouges market is across the street so we ended up walking through after our morning coffee. It was pretty wonderful!
M.O.B. Marais – This is the perfect spot for vegetarians and vegans! This little restaurant has unexpectedly good vegetarian burgers and sandwiches, kale chips and more. It was a nice healthy break from all the pastries we were eating!
Cafe La Fusee – One of my favorites! We could sit here for hours eating, drinking and laughing! The crowd was chill, not pretentious and it was a great place to hang out. Yes, food and drink were amazing too!
Experimental Cocktail Club – This was another place we had on our list but happened to find on one of our midnight walks. After dinner and some nighttime sightseeing we were walking through the beautiful streets of Paris and ran into this speakeasy. The cocktails were superb and the staff were very sweet. I highly recommend this spot, but go early if you want to get a seat!
Candeleria – This speakeasy reminds me a bit of PDT here in New York. You walk through a taco shop, through the back door and enter this cocktail bar. The secretive atmosphere gives it a little thrill!
Juste Une Bricole – I fell in love with this little shop! It’s filled with candles, stationery, ceramics and more. There are pieces here from all over the world but I picked up two French-made candles that I was told are hard to find elsewhere. I highly recommend this to everyone visiting.
Isa Rie – I can’t help but stop for design shops! I saw several colorful pieces through the large windows of this store and walked right in. The pieces here are curated beautifully!
La Fausse Boutique – This shop has a mix of clothing, accessories and home goods. The store window theme changes each week and the pieces in the store are exclusively French. It’s a must-visit.
Mariage Freres – This is not a design shop but we popped in after our visit to Juste Une Bricole. Ajay is a tea-lover so we had to pop in. The store is home to over 500 brands of teas, and the brand has been in existence since 1766. It’s not just a tea shop, it’s also a cafe. You can spend hours browsing for teas or having a bite in the back. Wonderful!
After sharing our favorite spots with you I’m in a bit of Paris-withdrawal. It was a fantastic vacation and Paris is definitely one of my favorite cities now. There were so many more places we visited, but I had to narrow things down or I could go on forever! For more shots of our Paris trip check out my instagram feed.
