CW Pencil Enterprise: Enter the amazing world of pencils

“What can a pencil do for all of us? Amazing things. It can write transcendent poetry, uplifting music, or life-changing equations; it can sketch the future, give life to untold beauty, and communicate the full-force of our love and aspirations.” Adam Braun was right. Despite advances in technology, pencils will never be obsolete, whatever you use them for.

Caroline Weaver was a longtime pencil collector and decided to found her own little shop in the heart of Chinatown. “CW Pencil Enterprise” was born. The wooden smell in the store makes you want to go back to your childhood, when you used to carry around your pencil box. On the left, a large variety of pencil are displayed in transparent pots, disposed on white shelfs.

When I looked closer, I realized that nothing was as expensive as I thought it would be. In fact, prices start at 30 cents and rarely exceed $4. For those who may think that “a pencil is a pencil”, this store proves the complete opposite. Each pencil is made for a particular use (drawing, writing). Not each lead is gray by the way! The store also sells amazing pencils that allow you to write in rainbow colors.

CW also sells the “everything else” you might need when buying pencils: notebooks, erasers, and amazing books to learn how to sharpen your pencils the right way. If you are looking for a gift to make to a stationery lover, this is definitely the place you’ll want to visit.

Not only does CW sell gorgeous pencils, but it also teaches customers how the pencils are made in the United States. Not that it doesn’t interest me, but I actually never thought about it. Now I know, thanks to the (almost art) display!
