FRIDAY TOP 5 {04.24.15}

This weekend we’ve planned some cinema with the Tribeca Film Festival, an original clothes exhibit, a zine fest in Brooklyn and some LA inspired things to do, like this ‘Dimes’ restaurant and a pop-up store on Mercer. Tell us your impressions with the #lifeinsketchwe!

49 Canal St., Manhattan

Dimes just opened their relocation restaurant on Canal Street. Going there, you should expect  California-inpired design and food: healthy but also very good-looking for your Instagram pics!

Tribeca Film Festival

Bow Tie Cinemas – 260W 23rd St., Manhattan

Your last chance to go see a movie presented at the TFF is this weekend! If we had to pick one, it will probably be “Jimmy’s Hall”, screened at 3:30PM at the Bow Tie Cinemas. All the awards will be distributed on Sunday, April 26th.

Aiko Hachisuka

Eleven Rivington – 195 Chrystie St., Manhattan

Aiko comes from L.A. and her work is based on sculptures built with old clothes. Most of them are presented as cylindrical forms, full of vivid colors.

Brooklyn Zine Fest

Brooklyn Historical Society – 128 Pierrepont St., Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Zine Fest returns for the fourth time! Think about it as an amazing way to discover new writers and brad about it with your coworkers.

85 Mercer St., Manhattan

This weekend drop by Beckley on Mercer Street and shop some LA clean womenswear! Be quick: the store’s a pop-up!
