This week we found some things we are especially excited about! Of course, there’s the new French restaurant, but there’s also the long-awaited re-opening of the Whitney Museum… In one of our favorite neighborhoods! We also planned a mini-golf, a new womenswear store and one of the most promising bars in New York City!
Dominique Ansel Kitchen
137 7th Ave., Manhattan
We already knew (and tasted) Dominique Ansel’s pastry shop. If like us you felt a little frustrated not to have anything salty to eat, the chef’s eponymous new restaurant is going to fulfill all your dreams! From the iconic croissant to the XL croque-monsieur, the West Village has never tasted so French!
Putt Putt Park
Hudson Hotel – 356W 58th St., Manhattan
Spring is definitely here and we know that all you want to do is find a nice place to relax a bit during the weekend. The Hudson Hotel installed a pop-up mini-golf on its Private Park rooftop to keep you entertained between the margaritas!
6 Fulton St., Manhattan
“William Okpo is for women who celebrate their cultivated sense of style” explain Darlene and Lizzy Okpo, the two designers of the recently opened store. Stop by to enjoy the amazing interior design and the incredible clothes. We personally fell in love with their tote bag, also available online!
The Whitney Museum of American Art
99 Gansevoort St., Manhattan
We’ve been waiting for this all winter and it’s finally happening: the Whitney Museum will open its doors at their new meatpacking location this weekend! We can’t wait to see the ‘Mary Heilmann: Sunset’ outdoor exhibit while enjoying the view!
649E 9th St., Manhattan
If you’ve been reading our Friday Top 5 for a while now, you probably noticed that we enjoy themed bars. If you do to, Mace is another one your might want to try: each cocktail has a different spice, from cinnamon to cumin, from cocoa to paprika. Pair your beverage with one of the flatbreads and you’re ready to Instagram and share it with us!
