The Vicente Wolf Design Seminar

Vicente Wolf Loft in Manhattan

As many of you know I spent five years working for Vicente Wolf. I consider him my mentor as I learned an incredible amount while working for the firm. Vicente taught me not only about design and about how to run a successful design firm, but also how to be confident in yourself and in your work. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from someone I greatly admire, and now, Vicente is sharing this opportunity with you too!

I love learning and updated and upgrading myself and if you are in the same boat you’re going to love the Vicente Wolf Design Seminar, taking place in New York in July 22nd and 23rd. This two day event is sure to be filled with inspiration. Here’s what will be covered:

How to present
Contracts, billing and procedures
Charging upfront
How to price a job (hour vs. flat fee)
How to get your work published in a magazine
How to be realistic about your work
How to publish a book on your designs and what it can bring to your firm
Website importance (to blog or not to blog)
Round table of problems we all face
When do we say no to a job
How to find out what clients want
Figuring out your style
Can we be designers to all people
Where to get inspiration
Trusting in your gut
Custom or readymade (pros & cons)
How to be good to your creativity
How to create floor plans
Balance of color & furniture
To CAD or not to CAD

The event includes not only time with Vicente but a panel of guest speakers, breakfast and lunch, several activities and a closing cocktail party at one of my favorite spaces, Vicente’s loft. The fee for this two day extravaganza is $2500 and I think it’s a bit of a steal, considering what you’ll be getting in return. You can sign up using this link.
